Continuing My Affiliate Marketing Journey With The ClickBank Profit Club
Introduction
My name is Joy Healey, and I’m an affiliate marketer and blogger from Norwich in the UK.
Although I have been doing blogging and affiliate marketing for quite a while now, I never managed to get ClickBank marketing going, and now I want to take on this as my next challenge.
I decided to blog about it because I want to document my journey as I build an ClickBank business properly, step by step. I’ve looked at different online business ideas over the years, but this time feels different because I finally feel like I have a clearer direction and a better understanding of what I should actually be focusing on.
I’m still very much a beginner with ClickBank, and I’m not pretending to be an expert. In fact, one of the reasons I wanted to start this blog is that I think there are a lot of people out there who feel overwhelmed by online business and affiliate marketing. There is so much information online that it can be difficult to know where to begin.
My plan is simple. I want to learn, take action consistently, and share what I discover along the way.
Why I Chose Affiliate Marketing
One of the biggest reasons I chose affiliate marketing is that it seems like a realistic way for ordinary people to start building something online without needing to create their own products straight away.
Affiliate marketing allows you to promote products or services that already exist. If someone buys through your recommendation, you can earn a commission. What appealed to me was the fact that you do not need to invent something from scratch before getting started. (I once tried creating my own product – it took forever, and then I realised that there were perfect affiliate products already made, without me needing to take the risky step of creating my own product and then learning to market it.)
I also like the flexibility of The ClickBank Profit Club. You can learn at your own pace, choose topics you are interested in, and gradually improve as you go.
Of course, I understand that affiliate marketing is not magic and it is definitely not a get-rich-quick system. I know there is real work involved. There is learning to do, content to create, traffic to generate, and consistency required over time.
But compared to constantly jumping from one idea to another, I feel that affiliate marketing gives me a practical path I can follow and improve over time.
Why List Building Matters To Me
One lesson I have learned over the years is that building an email list is incredibly important.
For a long time, I saw people online sending traffic directly to offers without collecting email addresses or building any long-term connection with their audience. The problem with that approach is simple: if people leave without buying, you often lose the chance to follow up with them.
That means all the effort spent getting visitors can disappear very quickly.
An email list is different because it gives you something you actually control. Social media platforms can change, accounts can disappear, and traffic sources can come and go, but an email list gives you the ability to stay connected with people who are interested in what you are sharing.
That idea makes a lot of sense to me.
I don’t want to keep sending traffic straight to offers and hoping people buy immediately. I would rather build relationships over time, provide value, and continue learning how email marketing works properly.
Over the years, I have learned a lot about list building and understand why experienced marketers talk about it so much. When you see them making big commissions, it’s because they have emailed an offer to the list of subscribers they have built over the years.
My goal and that of CBPC is to convince newcomers of that fact.
Why I Joined The ClickBank Profit Club
I have tried, and been successful with several different systems and training options, so why did I decide to join The ClickBank Profit Club?
One of the things I liked about it is that it seems designed to help beginners get started with a clearer process instead of trying to figure everything out alone.
What stood out to me was the combination of:
- Training
- A setup process – either training to do it yourself, or an affordable paid service.
- Follow-up emails
- A simple system to follow
For anyone who is still learning, having a structure to work through feels helpful.
I also like the fact that the system focuses on building an email list while promoting a proven offer. That approach makes far more sense than simply throwing links around online and hoping for results.
No-one should be under the illusion that joining a program alone creates success. It doesn’t. Effort, patience, and consistency are still required. But I do think having guidance and a step-by-step starting point can make a huge difference for beginners who feel stuck or confused.
When starting, it’s essential to focus on learning the foundations properly rather than chasing shortcuts.
What Beginners Should Be Doing Next
Over the next few weeks and months, the plan is to:
- Learn more about affiliate marketing
- Improve your understanding of email marketing
- Expand my email list steadily
- Create useful blog content
- Share what I learn honestly along the way
- Stay consistent instead of constantly starting over
There will be mistakes and things I need to improve, but that is part of learning anything new.
One reason I wanted to start blogging about my journey is because writing things down helps me stay accountable. It also gives me a way to look back later and see how far I have come.
If you are new to affiliate marketing or online business, hopefully, some of the things I share will help you as well.
Final Thoughts
Right now, I’m at the beginning of this ClickBank journey, but for the first time in a while, I feel like I’m building on a more solid foundation instead of chasing random opportunities.
For me, understanding the importance of list building was a major shift in mindset. Instead of only thinking about quick sales, I’m now thinking more about building something long-term.
