A message from our Founder about how Home Business Academy brings AI to the world. (HBA, for short).
He says:
Most of the world hasn’t really met AI yet. Home Business Academy is giving you the tools to change that.
First, a quick introduction.
Most people have never heard of Andrej Karpathy, but in the AI world almost everyone listens when he talks.
• He was a founding member of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT.
• He led AI at Tesla for five years. He was in charge of the system that lets the cars see and drive themselves.
• He earned his PhD at Stanford and created one of its best-known AI courses.
• He came up with the term “vibe coding,” which means building software just by describing what you want.
He isn’t selling anything. He’s one of the most respected builders in the field. This week he posted something every HBA member should read.
Here’s how Andrej Karpathy describes it.
He says it works like a funnel:
“Napkin math: somewhere around 6B people (~75% of the population) have barely come into contact with LLMs at all.”
That’s six billion people. (An “LLM” is the technology behind tools like ChatGPT.)
LLM stands for large language model, an AI system trained to understand and generate human language.
Then comes the next group:

“Around 1-2B (~20%) are casual and infrequent users of free-tier ChatGPT-like products. This group sees “playful” chatbots and treats them a bit like a better Google search, a writing aid… I have non-tech friends who (reasonably, imo) say they have not much use for it at all.”
Only a very small group sees what AI can really do. He says about 20 million people, or 0.2% of the world, are watching “large, complex projects that used to take them weeks/months” get finished “by agents with a prompt.”
He also says the people inside the top AI labs are seeing even more than that.
His summary:
“The general public has mostly not interacted with these systems. When they have, it looks like a chatty chatbot. The majority of professionals still see only a modest uplift. And a small sliver of professionals are experiencing the vertigo of the curve going vertical. And it is all happening at the same time.”
Why this matters to you
Think of electricity in the early 1900s. The power plants were already running, but most homes still used oil lamps. The people who did well weren’t the ones who built the plants. They were the electricians who walked into an ordinary house and turned the lights on.
That’s where we are with AI.
Karpathy names one more key point. AI gets better results when you give it big, real problems you actually care about.
Asking it a quick question “barely stresses the system.” Most people never get past that. They type a question into a chatbot, get an average answer and decide AI is overhyped.
The tools inside HBA skip the blank chat box.
They go straight to real results for a real business.
You can build a full funnel, write the emails and connect it all from one chat.
You can build a membership site and community just by talking to your phone.
You can go from idea to finished marketing asset at the speed of speech.
Someone who has only seen the “simple chatbot” version doesn’t need an explanation of AI. They need to see it build something real for them, today.
That’s the gap, and it’s huge.
Six billion people haven’t really started, and another billion or two have only seen the weak version.

You don’t have to persuade anyone that AI matters. You just have to show them what it can do.
The Home Business Academy made several AI tools available last year, and I have been amazed at the results I get from a simple prompt.
For instance, the one on the right.
HBA Opens AI to the World
Now they have launched their AI Funnel Builder and Agent.
So YOU can bring AI to the world, and show small businesses (including your own) what USEFUL tasks it can now do.
