My Previous Experience with KDP
Ever since I was a little girl, I have had an ambition to write. In fact, I was a published author by the age of 15, with 3 books under my belt, for which I earned the princely sum of £25 and was very happy with my earnings. However, the printing and marketing were done by a publisher friend of my Dad’s, and with hindsight, that cost him far more than my £25 author fee.
Fast forward (past the years of motherhood and running my own offline business), I never lost the yen to be a writer, so when I had the chance to purchase a course about four years ago, I jumped at the chance and enthusiastically created my first KDP book. Two big mistakes (NOT the fault of that course, which taught me a lot). BUT:
- I was such a perfectionist that it took me weeks and weeks to finish it, have a cover designed for me, and have it proofread and laid out correctly.
