The Lazy Person’s Way to Promote Online
If you’ve ever felt like promotion is a full-time job with zero pay, this is for you.
- You spend hours posting content that hardly anyone sees.
- You send messages that get ignored.
- You buy course after course that promises wealth, but all you get are more tactics, more hacks, more hustle.
And where does it get you?
- Burned out.
- Frustrated.
- Still broke.
It’s not that you’re lazy. It’s that the way most people are trying to promote themselves is completely unsustainable – unless you want to be a full-time marketer. I don’t!
There is a different way. But first let’s look at the traditional method that many recommend.
The Problem With the Traditional “Grind” Approach
Here’s what most people do:
- Grind on social media for hours
- Chase ever-changing algorithms
- Pour money into courses that teach you more complexity, not more clarity
You’re told you just need to:
- Post more often
- Show up everywhere
- Be “omnipresent”
- Engage, comment, DM, reply, repeat…
The message is clear: if you’re not everywhere, all the time, you’re failing.
But what actually happens?
You get tired. Your creativity dries up.
You start resenting the very thing you created your business to support: your life.
Promotion becomes something that drains your soul, instead of something that grows your income and is enjoyable.
So, what if promotion wasn’t about doing more at all?
A Different Question: What If You Did Less?
What if promotion wasn’t about more tactics, more platforms, more hustle…
…but about less of the right thing?
This is what I call the lazy person’s method — but it’s not about being lazy.
It’s about being smart.
It’s about plugging into a system that does the heavy lifting for you, so you can:
- Stop living in your notifications
- Stop feeling guilty when you’re not posting or liking and commenting
- Start having a life again
To make that work in the real world, there are three things to look for.
1. Look for Recurring Income (Not One-and-Done Sales)
Many people are stuck in one sale = one payment.
You work hard to promote something…
You might make a sale…
You get paid once…
And then it’s back to the grind.
That’s not leverage. That’s a treadmill.
Instead, look for ways to earn recurring income:
- Affordable memberships – as low as $10 per month, but $25pcm for the flagship product
- Software with monthly fees
- A program that pays you again and again from a single referral
- A GENEROUS commission: 80%, NOT 25c per client
- Includes possibility of a high-ticket sale too
The idea is simple:
One promotion that can pay you over and over again.
You put in effort once, but the income keeps coming.
That’s the first step to making promotion feel lighter, not heavier.
2. Choose High-Ticket Leverage (Not Penny Commissions)
If you’re promoting something that pays you pennies, you’re forced into volume:
- More leads
- More sales
- More conversations
- More everything
And “more” is exactly what you’re trying to escape.
Instead, look for high-ticket leverage:
- Offers that pay you a meaningful commission per sale
- Programs where a handful of buyers can make a real difference to your income
- A program where your buyers STAY, because they see the prospect of their own 80% commissions
When you have profitable offers (or high-ticket commissions if you’re an affiliate), you don’t need:
- Thousands of views
- Hundreds of buyers
- Endless DM conversations
You just need a few of the right people.
- Fewer conversations.
- Fewer clients.
- Just TWO customers means you are in profit.
- More income.
That’s what leverage looks like.
3. Plug Into Ready Made Systems (Not Someone Else’s Funnel)
Another big reason promotion feels like a grind:
You’re trying to build everything yourself.
It’s exhausting before you’ve even started sending traffic.
Instead, look for built-in systems:
- Smart tools already created and tested
- Email follow-up you create once, then send automatically
- Training already done for the people you send
- My favourite is the new smart post tool – to get rid of the social media grind
Your smart marketing becomes:
Plug in, send people to the front door, let the system do the rest.
That doesn’t mean you do nothing.
It means you’re no longer trying to be:
- The marketer
- The copywriter
- The tech support
- The sales team
- The follow-up department
You focus on what you do best, and let the system handle the heavy lifting.
When All Three Come Together, Promotion Feels Like Freedom
When you find something that checks all three boxes:
- Recurring income – one promotion, paid over and over
- High-ticket leverage – real money from fewer conversations
- Built-in systems – funnels, follow-up, and training done for you
Something shifts.
Promotion stops feeling like:
- An endless hamster wheel
- A game you’re always losing
- A full-time job you’re not getting paid for
And it starts feeling like freedom:
- You can take a day off without panicking about the algorithm
- You can create from inspiration, not desperation
- You can actually enjoy your business again
If the Hamster Wheel Is Draining Your Soul…
If you’re exhausted from:
- Posting content that nobody sees
- Sending messages that never get a reply
- Worrying your page or account could be restricted or lost at any time
…you’re not alone.
So many good people are burning out trying to play a game that’s stacked against them.
- You don’t need to be louder.
- You don’t need to be everywhere.
- You don’t need to hustle harder.
You need a smarter system.
I’ve found something that brings together recurring income, high-ticket leverage, and built-in systems — exactly what I’ve talked about here.
If you’re tired of the hamster wheel and want to see how this looks in practice, you can watch the short video where I break it all down:

And if you’ve ever felt like promotion was draining your soul, you’re not weak, you’re not failing.
You’re just ready for a better route to success.
